What happens when cultural differences interfere with how one should raise a child?

In Norway a number of children from Lithuanian immigrant families have recently been taken into care by the country's child protection agency, Barnevernet. The organisation insist they're acting in the best interests of the children by protecting them from abusive parents but the families are devestated. With this documentary we want to look at this issue through both the eyes of the affected families and the people who represent Barnevernet. What happens when cultural differences interfere with how one should raise a child?
