Ellen Fiske is a documentary filmmaker based in Stockholm. In 2015 she graduated from the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. Among Fiske's films are titles such as Lone Dads (2015), Moja mama - min mamma (2015), Keep me safe (2014) and The Red (2014).
Graduate of Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, BA and MA. Directed the short fiction Souther and the documentary Paradise Road. Works with educational projects and as 1st AD in film productions. He is developing his first feature People We Know Are Confused. Based in Vilnius.
What happens when cultural differences interfere with how one should raise a child?
In Norway a number of children from Lithuanian immigrant families have recently been taken into care by the country's child protection agency, Barnevernet. The organisation insist they're acting in the best interests of the children by protecting them from abusive parents but the families are devestated. With this documentary we want to look at this issue through both the eyes of the affected families and the people who represent Barnevernet. What happens when cultural differences interfere with how one should raise a child?
