LA ÚLTIMA PELÍCULA GOES TO TIFF

MARK PERANSON & RAYA MARTIN – LA ULTIMA PELICULA

We are excited to announce that a DOX:LAB film, supported by the Danish Film Institute, La última película is being included in The Toronto International Film Festival selection 2013.

The directors Mark Peranson and Raya Martin (Canada/Denmark/Philippines) met during DOX:LAB 2012 and the filming took place in The Yucatan, Mexico and Copenhagen. The film is 88 minutes long and will be screened at the Wavelenghts section at TIFF.

The plot starts out with a famous American filmmaker traveling to the Yucatan to scout locations for his last movie. He imagines a film where the lead actor is sacrificed to appease the Gods. The locals see the human sacrifice and think its real. Everyone panics. Meanwhile, the end of the world is about to happen. But what if the Mayan Apocalypse actually happens?

La última película has a world premiere in Toronto and will be shown during CPH:DOX in November 2013.

Make sure to come see it!
